For some school districts, establishing a weekly Genius Hour and engage students in Problem Based Learning and Inquiry Learning might be one way to meet the spirit of the legislation. Advanced Thinking Skills would still be employed and practiced, students would be supported to pursue their passion projects and only one day a week would be taken up with this engaging work.
