The Heavy Hand of Poverty and its Impact on Learning and Access to Gifted Programming

Minnesota’s school age population is changing.  In 2018 nearly a third of our students, K-12, were students of color.  In Fall of 2019 one half of all students, K-12, were students of color.  Coupled with clear evidence of a failure to close the achievement gap, a different model for educating all students is critical to the economic well being of the state.
